Checking the new host environment
First of all, we look at the specifications of your new hosting environment. Does it comply with the minimum requirements of your website? You don't want to move your website to a new host only to discover that your website is no longer working because of a too low version of PHP or database.
Take a backup and install
The next step is taking a backup of your website: a copy of both the files and the database. Based on that backup, we install the files on your new host. We use software specifically and profesionaly written voor Joomla! and/or WordPress to move a site from one hosting environment to another. That software will also fill the new database with the content of the copied website.
Besides copying files and database, some settings have to be carefully checked and changed.
Test the new environment
After extensive testing on the temporarry URL of your new hosting, we can change the DNS settings where applicable (both the old and the new environment will be checked). These settings make sure your (new) website can be found in a browser.
When your visitors actually arrive on the new hosting, you get a go to (re)start working on your website. It whould be a shame to launch a new article or product only to discover it was on the old hosting and it just disappeared into oblivion...
